Our caregivers are available to help people living in private residences, nursing homes, retirement homes, hospitals, and other facilities. We also include a home evaluation conducted under the guidance of a certified Senior Home Safety Specialist® to ensure your loved one’s home is safe for them.
Let’s get to know one another.
It’s important that you feel comfortable with us prior to starting care for you or your loved one, which is why whoever you’re looking for care for, and whatever type of care you need, the first step in the process is a free consultation.
Our consultation process is simple. And it starts and ends with you.
It All Starts with a Conversation
The first step is to reach out to us for an initial conversation. Feel free to get in touch with us however you’re most comfortable.
We want to learn more about you and your loved ones, where you’re located, and the scope of care you’re looking for. We also want to answer any questions you have about us. Our first priority is ensuring that your loved ones get the care they need and deserve. If we believe someone else is a better option to provide that care, we’ll make that recommendation. If everything goes well, we can usually start care just one week from this first meeting.

A Personalized Approach to Care
Once we understand your home, what other supports may be in place, and how much care you’re looking for from us, we’ll create a plan for introducing care.
The approach we take is always customized to your family and the person receiving care, and the order is guided by your knowledge of your family.
Oftentimes, we start with an initial walkthrough of the home, so we can perform a house assessment and establish where small changes to the home will make life easier and safer for your loved ones. This process is part of our Senior Home Safety Audit.
Sometimes, we have a first meeting with the person who will be under our care, so you can introduce our caregiver however you feel is best. That can be as a professional caregiver providing around the clock care, as a companion who will drive them to appointments each day, or even just as a friend of the family who will help with meal preparation on Tuesdays. We’re here to support you and your family on your terms.

Senior Home Safety Audit
Great home care starts with the home.
At Humble Home Care, we want to make sure your loved one’s home is oriented in a way that prioritizes their safety, comfort, and care. We have Senior Home Safety Specialists ®, certified with Age Safe Canada, who conduct a thorough senior home safety audit during our initial home inspection. Based on a carefully curated framework, we’ll make recommendations for home improvements that include everything from moving lamps for better lighting to installing railings or grab bars.
Our goal with these home safety assessments is to provide simple, straightforward modifications that will help your loved one age in place safety and comfortably.

Communication Is a Cornerstone of Our Home Care Services
Communication ensures comfort on both sides and ultimately a higher quality of care. Once everyone is comfortable with the care plan, we’ll get started.
We understand that you may want to check in more regularly with us in the beginning. Communication with the person under our care and you as their family is a large part of what makes Humble Home Care who we are. We’ll focus on keeping steady communication with you always, but especially in the first few weeks while we’re establishing a relationship with your loved one.
After the first visit from us, we’ll get in contact with you to talk about what happened and what, if anything, we can do to make ongoing care smoother and more effective.
Flexible Services to Suit Your Family’s Evolving Needs
Our caregiving services and schedule are flexible to suit your family’s ever evolving needs.
That means that if you find you require more or fewer services, a change in the time of day or days of the week we provide care, or short or long-term respite care to take back the time you need for yourself, we are flexible and adaptable enough to provide those changes to care.
We’re here for you whatever path life takes you on.
